Golf etiquette & guidelines

Kooyonga encourages members and guests to support our golf etiquette guidelines which entail a set of rules and practices for golfers to ensure maximum enjoyment on course and promote respect for fellow golfers.

Dress Code & mobile phones

Members and their guests are expected to dress in the clubhouse in a manner which will uphold the prestige of the club. A member introducing a guest to the Club is required to ensure that the guest complies with the dress code. Please also review our mobile phone policy which advises on where and how you may use your mobile phone while at the Club.

Keep the Pace

In the interest of avoiding slow play, it is the duty of all players to keep up with the group in front, not in front of the group behind and to adopt the ‘ready golf’ principles.

R&A and Local Rules

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and the United States Golf Association, in consultation with other golfing bodies from throughout the world implement a set of rules that are to be read in conjunction with Kooyonga’s local rules.
