As the General Manager for Kooyonga Golf Club, Brett is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Club’s day to day operations and activities. He works closely with the Committee to develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the Club and is focused on providing members and guests an outstanding golfing experience and industry-leading facilities and services.

As the Course Superintendent, Richard is responsible for the day to day management of the golf course, practice facilities, clubhouse gardens and surrounds along with project managing course improvements in line with approved course and landscape plans. Richard manages all course staffing requirements and is responsible for maintaining all plant and equipment, bore and irrigation systems and maintenance buildings and ensures all playing surfaces and facilities are presented to the high standard Kooyonga is renowned for.

As the Marketing & Communications Manager for Kooyonga Golf Club, Amanda’s key role is to facilitate communication to members and prospective members through written, verbal and digital strategies, including management of newsletters, club website, club publications and all digital and social media platforms. Amanda is responsible for coordinating any advertising and marketing aspects of the club in conjunction with the General Manager and Committee, and works closely with key staff to implement and manage a consistent branding strategy.

Donna’s key role is to manage the accounts payable/receivable aspects of the Club through posting information to accounting journals/software from sources such as invoices, cash receipts and supplier invoices. She also processes the Club’s employee payroll on a weekly basis, manages banking processes and provides assistance to the Finance Manager as required.

As the Administration Assistant, Leanne’s role is to offer administrative support across all departments of Kooyonga Golf Club. Leanne is responsible for managing daily administrative tasks within the office and provides assistance to marketing, membership and accounts.

Chloe previously worked at Kooyonga from 2018 to 2022 and returned to her role as part time Administration Assistant in 2024. Chloe’s role is to offer administrative support across all departments of Kooyonga Golf Club. She is responsible for managing daily administrative tasks within the office and provides assistance to marketing, membership and accounts.

Kylie is responsible for the day to day running of all clubhouse, golf academy and on-course hospitality services at the Club. She has extensive experience in hospitality management having held similar positions at quality establishments in Adelaide over the last 10 years and holds an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management. She has a passion for hospitality and her focus is on exceeding expectations in all areas of clubhouse services.

As Bar & Restaurant Manager for Kooyonga Golf Club, Di’s and Tania’s key role is focused on the Member’s Bar and HL Rymill Dining Room. With strong experience in owning and operating restaurants, they utilise their passion for hospitality and customer service to work beyond the expectation of members and deliver the utmost experience for the Kooyonga members. Di and Tania work closely with other key members of the team to ensure efficiency and that standards are met to the highest level.

Zac comes with 20 years experience in a variety of prestigious and nationally recognised restaurants, such as Mt Lofty House and Bridgewater Mill and has worked under notable chefs Le Tu Thai, Nick Holloway and Jin Choi.

As Golf Operations Manager, Josh is responsible for the management of all golf services, working closely with the Golf Shop and Admin team to ensure that golf services are delivered to a high standard. He oversees the roles of Golf Shop Manager, Retail Manager and Golf Operations Assistant while reporting directly to the General Manager. Josh is a golfer and runner with a keen interested in management and is always looking to improve the services provided to members, guests, and visitors.
Re-Joined the Kooyonga team in 2024
Darcy has been a Kooyonga member since 2016, has played Simpson Cup for our Club and played in state and national level golf events. Darcy re-joins Kooyonga’s golf operations and coaching team after a 13 month stint as Head Professional at Mount Osmond Golf Club, where he completed his final year of the PGA Associateship. In Darcy’s time at Mount Osmond, he gained valuable experience playing a lead role in their golf operations, coaching, junior development and management team. As Golf Shop Manager, Darcy will manage the day-to-day operations of the golf shop and practice facilities, he will assist the Golf Operations Manager with the administration of the golf program and be responsible for supervising the casual golf shop staff. Darcy has a keen passion for golf and seeing others improve.

As Golf Services Manager, Ross assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the golf shop and practice facilities, while being responsible for the delivery of member events, corporate golf activities and the experience all members, guests and visitors have when playing at Kooyonga.

Jacob’s focus is on the retail and repairs arm of the Golf Shop, and delivery of exemplary service and pricing through the development of strong member and supplier relationships. Jacob’s passion for the game and previous experience has led to an extensive knowledge of golf hardware and equipment as well as apparel, and a sound understanding of industry trends. He brings experience in club fitting and repairs and holds qualifications in both sports therapy and fitness.

Adrian has an extensive resume of coaching qualifications, and stable of elite amateur and newly professional golfers whom he will continue to support. Adrian is also the State High Performance Manager – SA at Golf Australia, enabling him to access the highest levels of support and opportunities to enhance his coaching. This will benefit Kooyonga in the years to come as he imparts his knowledge and experience on our coaching team through mentoring and leadership.

Braeden commenced a PGA traineeship at Kooyonga in 2016 before moving across to Grange to complete his 3-year training programme. Since 2019, Braeden was employed as teaching professional and junior coordinator at Glenelg and in 2023 was recognised as My Golf Deliverer of the Year at the 2023 South Australian Golf Industry Awards Night. He was a finalist for Game Development Coach of the Year in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 as well as travelling team coach for both Junior and Senior State teams in 2023.

Peter has spent the majority of his years playing professional golf in all pockets of the world playing on the Asian Tour, the China Tour and the Australian Tour for over a decade. He’s held numerous course records as an amateur and professional which some still stand today including -10 at the Vintage in the NSW PGA in 2010. A recent career highlight would be winning the 2019 Papua New Guinea Open (PGA Tour Australasia) not long after transitioning with coach Daniel Blackwell to the Kooyonga Golf Academy for his instruction. He has worked at major golf retail stores and golf clubs which has given him invaluable experience in customer service and product knowledge. Whilst currently completing his PGA bridging course to transition from tour pro to teaching pro, Peter’s goal is to use what he has learnt to bring an all-rounded package of energy and experience to work with an elite golf shop team and provide expert advice to the members.

Susie has a strong background as a professional golfer having played on the ALPG (Australian Ladies Professional Golf), Japanese LPGA and Chinese LPGA Tours. She was a member of the winning national championship UCLA Women’s Golf Team (2004) earning First-Team All-America honours as well as a member of the winning South Australian State Women’s Golf Team (2006). In 2001 Susie won the Australian Ladies Foursomes Championship and then in 2002 a professional golf tournament in Sweden, the Kalmar Ladies Open. Susie is a Certified PGA Professional with advanced status in coaching. She is also an All-Abilities Coach who provides tuition to golfers of all levels.
