Kooyonga’s win over Tea Tree Gully at Grange East on Monday, 20/10/25 saw us move to the top of the table as the only undefeated side in Division One.
The result was a great team effort against a tough and experienced opponent and testimony to the work put in by our dedicated squad this season.
Dave Terrell lead us of at #7 against the very formidable and experienced (and former Kooyonga Champion) Mike Richards. As is often the case in match play, the tightness of the match is often the highlight. In a see-sawing contest David got home 2&1.
Scott Duval had clearly addressed his putting woes from the previous week and had a strong 3&2 win. Matt Hodgson copped another experienced opponent but toughed out a 2 up win. Bevan O’Connor also had a tight contest with the lead going back and forth with Bev being just on the wrong end when he got to #18 going 1-down.
Frank Templeton was a force of nature with a huge 8&7 win which confirms that Frank’s game can match up against anyone in the competition. David’s Fraterman’s determination at the top of the order allows us the luxury of playing Bruce Lindner at #2. He also was matched up against one of Tea Tree Gully’s veterans of their multiple Senior Pennant titles but cruised in 5&4. No easy games at #1 but as the season progresses Frats looks more and more like he belongs and recorded a 2&1 win.
Next Monday we go to Glenelg for match up against Blackwood.
