Please see below a statement from Geoff Brennan, who on his first morning as Club Captain attended a press conference at which Peter Malinauskas announced the Women’s Australian Open will be staged in Adelaide for the next three years, the first of which to be held at our very own Kooyonga;
It is a pleasure to share with members the exciting news that it has been announced today that the 2026 Women’s Australian Open will be held at Kooyonga from 12 – 15 March 2026.
The Women’s Australian Open, co-sanctioned by the WPGA Tour of Australasia and Ladies European Tour, will bring a strong field to our course.
Hosting this prestigious event will provide us with another opportunity to showcase our championship course to a wide audience, promote women’s golf at our club and more broadly and provide members and spectators with memorable experiences.
Our hosting of the Women’s Australian Open in 2018 was widely acclaimed, largely due to the contribution of our members, and I hope that members will be excited by this further opportunity for the club.
